Materials:  Approximately 1 ounce worsted weight cotton yarn (Bernat Handicrafter Apple Green used for model), Crochet Hook Size G/4.5 mm (I used a Skacel  Hook)

Finished soap saver measures approximately 5 inches long, 3 inches wide.

Instructions:

Chain 9 to start.

Round 1:  sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across, 2 sc in last chain.  Working along other side of foundation chain, sc in each loop across, join with slip stitch to first chain. (16 stitches)

Round 2:  Working in back loops for this round only, sc in each stitch around, join.

Round 3: ch 1 (sc, ch1) in each stitch around, join.

Round 4:  slip stitch in first ch 1 space, ch 1, sc in same space.  sc in each chain 1 space around, join.

Rounds 5 - 16:  Repeat rounds 3 and 4.

Round 17: (eyelet round)  Ch 1, sc in first stitch.  (Ch 3, skip 1 stitch, sc in next stitch) around.  Join.

Round 18:  Slip stitch in first chain 3 space, ch 3, 4 dc in same space.  (5 dc in next space, 1 sc in next space) around.   Join with slip stitch to third chain of beginning chain 3.  Finish off.

Drawstring:  Chain 100, slip stitch in second chain from hook and in each remaining chain.  Finish off.

Weave drawstring through the spaces in round 18, tie ends together.
